For a long time I wondered about elliptic curve cryptog. Is my computer drawing ellipses somewhere? How are they used? When I couldn't find the answers I started to make my own. It took some time to figure out the animation, but I love the result. Enjoy!

I needed to get some SSM params out of AWS without access to awscli or 169.254 or boto, and doing this in bash isn't obvious or well documented (that I could find). Just in case you ever find yourself in the same situation, I wrote up my result:

Thanks to a small but vocal crowd of requestors I’ve written a byte-by-byte breakdown of DTLS, the secure UDP-based protocol. Thanks to @wolfSSL for being (one of?) the first to support DTLS 1.3, the latest proto version. Couldn’t have done without it!
