    X needs to weight these by frequency. If you've only ever reported one person that's a big deal. If you report someone every day it shouldn't be a negative signal at all - perhaps your reports should become a positive signal. Same with blocks, etc.

    Yep this is complete bs. Anyone discussing immigration is going to get reported by 1 billion non-paying new Indian accounts every time they post. This needs to end yesterday.

    I think what that's doing is that it is suppressing reach to users that are predicted to report your posts Actually reporting a post wont directly do anything for other users through that mechanism, the effect is that they are less likely to see other posts that they might report
